Matt previously served as Chief Financial Officer of Opportunities New Brunswick, where he led finance and strategy, chaired investment and risk committees, and oversaw the governance and financial assessment of a significant public investment portfolio.
During that tenure, the organization moved from approximately negative $70 million to positive $95 million in equity—an improvement of roughly $165 million—while Matt led four clean audit cycles and materially strengthened financial controls, portfolio methods and investment discipline.
His broader experience includes approximately $6 billion in transaction and project exposure across energy, renewable energy and biomass, marine and defence infrastructure, mining, industrial development, economic development, portfolio strategy and major-project financing.
